MEIZU'S M8 SPECIFICATIONS AND PROMOTIONAL VIDEO

The Meizu M8, is a touchscreen phone designed to directly compete with the iPhone. It was released on December 2008 for public testing but it's official release date was last February 2009 in China. It is a touch-controlled, multimedia and internet-enabled smartphone with similar features, UI and physical design with the Apple iPhone. M8 runs in a Microsoft Windows CE 6 platform and sports a 3.4-inch 720x480 high-definition display screen with Proximity /Gravity /Ambient light sensors and multi-touch application.

Among its other features are the following:

• Processor: Samsung ARM11 667 MHz CPU
• PC Interface: USB 2.0 Ultra Fast Data Transfer
• Flash Memory: 8 or 16 GB of built-in basic Memory
• Video Playback: AVI, MP4, RM, RMVB, 3GP, MOV, ASF, WMV, MPEG, MKV, FLV, MPEG-4/H.263/H.264 at 30FPS
• Tilt and movement recognizing sensor that will allow it to auto-adjust screen orientation in accordance to tilting. It can also recognize movements (ie. shaking), a feature which can be used for games.
• Proximity sensor for calling

Although this phone is not really new, I think it totally rocks when I saw this promotional video of the phone.

It's unfortunate, though, that it's not likely to be sold here in our country.
