ANDROID SMARTPHONE UPDATES: HTC EVO SHIFT 4G, SAMSUNG REPLENISH, MOTOROLA ATRIX 2, DROID RAZR, AND DROID RAZR MAXX

Software updates for several Android handsets from various carriers have began to roll out. These new updates for the HTC EVO Shift 4G, Samsung Replenish, Motorola Atrix 2, Droid Razr, and DROID Razr MAXX include new features, battery life improvements, performance enhancements, and more.

Verizon's Motorola Droid Razr, and DROID Razr MAXX: The update (6.12.173) for these DROID handsets include improvements to its Mobile Hotspot function, 3D maps for VX Navigator, Visual Voice Mail enhancements, stability for data connectivity, and battery life tweaks. AT&T's Motorola Atrix 2: This minor update for the (version 55.13.25) second-generation Atrix include performance enhancements and fixes to bugs. Sprint's HTC Evo Shift 4G and Samsung Replenish: The software version 2.77.651.3 for the EVO Shift 4G provides battery life improvements, a security update and updated Peep client. on the other hand, the FA19 update for the Replenish will only bring a security update.
