CES 2010 RUMORS AND 611CONNECT COVERAGE

 

The Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2010 is just around the corner and plenty of exciting leaks and rumors have surrounded the annual event. Here are some of the hottest mobile phone rumors for this year's electronics show.

The possible launch of the Apple Tablet PC or "iSlate" is one of the hottest rumors for the upcoming show. Reports on this release are circulating but it's still unsure if Apple will host an event at CES 2010.

Motorola may introduce new Android-powered devices at the show. One of the devices that have surfaced recently include the Calgary / DROID Devour for Verizon. There are also talks of an AT&T-bound Android device with a touchscreen, OLED display, and a physical keyboard.

CES 2010 may also feature eco-friendly phones. The annual electronics show will feature a GreenTech area which is expected to display the latest in smart-energy-appliances, and other types of power-management devices.

There are also talks of a Windows-Mobile powered WiMAX phone at the event. Microsoft and Sprint are reportedly preparing a “must-attend” press conference to announce the 4G handset.

LG is preparing to host a “Mobile Launch Party” and introduce "stylish" mobile phones at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. The LG Lotus LX610 Elite and the LG Arena for AT&T are expected to be among the phones to be introduced at the party.

Palm is also planning to reveal new Smartphones at this year's show. The company has already sent out invitations for a presentation so new webOS phones might be unveiled soon. Will these devices be as successful as the Palm Pre?
