The arrival of exciting Android powered smartphones like the Motorola Droid and Samsung Moment is a clear indication that Google's platform is flourishing and it appears that the company is still working hard to carry this momentum. Reports indicate that Google is pushing hard to continue the development of the Android operating system. The folks at Android and Me has reported that 0.04% of its traffic came from Android 2.1, instead of any other OS version. This indicates that the new OS version already exists and may be released as early as the upcoming holidays. The Android version 2.1 is expected to be a minor update to fix bugs from 2.0 and may not offer any ground-breaking changes.
