Leaked images of upcoming Android smartphones are an exciting part of mobile phone news and rumors. The Galaxy S III is arguably the most anticipated Android phone and several alleged images of this handset have already surfaced. Confirming the validity of these images usually have to wait until the official announcement. However, a picture that was recently posted on Reddit might turn out to be an authentic representation of the Samsung Galaxy S III.

The folks at CNet think that the widget on the bottom of the home screen as shown on the leaked image is an intriguing clue. The widget mentions a May 22 "Samsung Unpacked" to be held in London, which makes sense as a launch location since the city is the venue for the 2012 Olympics.;

The image also shows the rumored larger display that is stretched from nearly one edge to the next and a dedicated camera button.

However, these intriguing elements do not confirm that the image is indeed the real thing. We need more information to judge if the image is indeed the Galaxy S III so continue to take these leaks with a huge grain of salt.

Are you excited for the arrival of this phone? Did the reports of an Samsung exec confirming a quad-core Samsung Exynos chip for the smartphone fuel your interest?
