The latest version of Google Maps for Mobile has delivered the coveted multitouch support to the Motorola DROID. The newly released version 3.4 of Google Maps for Mobile enables pinch-to-zoom support on the DROID. This update is now available via the Android Market. The Android 2.0 framework on the DROID supports multitouch but it was only enabled on the Euro-spec Milestone version. However, this development may signal the arrival of multitouch support as must-have feature on future Android devices across the board.
