It appears that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is headed for its third US carrier. If recent rumors are true then, T-Mobile is a future destination for the first smartphone to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A handset called the Samsung-T999 has been uncovered by the folks at CellPhonesDigital. The model name for this handset indicates that it is headed for T-Mobile. Samsung handsets with model labels that starts with T and ends in 9 are usually bound for the 4th largest US carrier. The information on the Samsung-T999 is limited but there is a chance that it could be a version of the Galaxy Nexus. This upcoming Android phone is expected to sport a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, matching the Galaxy Nexus' 4.65″ HD(1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display. What do you think of this rumor? Will the arrival of the Galaxy Nexus make up for the lack of an iPhone in T-Mobile's lineup? |
