NEW WINDOWS PHONE 7 SMARTPHONES: NOKIA LUMIA 800 AND NOKIA LUMIA 710

Nokia has announced its first handsets that run on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system at the World in London. The manufacturer hopes that the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 will help to revive its declining smartphone business. Let's take a closer look at these upcoming Windows Phones after the break.

Nokia Lumia 800: This handset will be available at select markets in November for around 420 Euros ($585 U.S.). The main features for this phone include a curved 3.7-inch ClearBack AMOLED (480x800 pixels) touch screen and a 1.4GHz single-core SnapDragon processor with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Lumia 800 sports an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and 720p HD video capture at 30fps. Consumers who purchase this handset will be given 25GB of free storage through Microsoft's cloud-based SkyDrive service.
Nokia Lumia 710:This upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphone sports a 3.7-inch ClearBack AMOLED touch screen and a 1.4GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. Other notable features for this handset include 8GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 5-megapixel camera with video capture at 720p HD. The Lumia 710 appears to be headed for mid-market consumers with a price of 270 Euro. Consumers can expect it to be available in the first half of 2012.
