Details on the final smartphone for Nokia's ill-fated Symbian OS have surfaced. The Nokia 803 may be the last Symbian phone to be released before the manufacturer concentrates fully on using the Windows Phone platform on its smartphones. The Nokia 803 was leaked last year as a possible replacement for the N8 and more details for this phone has emerged. The folks at BGR have been told that the phone will sport a 4-inch AMOLED display and offer an HDMI-out port, microSIM support and NFC. This smartphone for 2012 is also rumored to sport one of the largest camera sensors to be offered by a cell phone.
The info on this phone is far from complete but more may come soon as we near the rumored May release of the Nokia 803. Nokia may also be planning to release the Lumia 800 on February 14. The Windows Phone will be available for $899 bundled with musical accessories. Consumers may be able to get it at Microsoft Stores with the Play 360 speaker with NFC, Purity HD stereo headphones by Monster and an in-ear Bluetooth headset. |
