Sprint has announced the release date for its second WiMAX 4G smartphone. The Samsung Epic 4G will hit the stores on August 31st at 8am for $249.99 on-contract. Consumers can preorder the Epic 4G starting Friday, August 13. This upcoming Sprint phone will also be available at Best Buy, Wal~Mart and RadioShack. The Samsung Epic 4G features a side slider design with a 4-inch super AMOLED display, a full QWERTY keyboard and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with support for 720p video recording. This impressive WiMAX 4G smartphone also offers a 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, front facing VGA camera, and Android 2.1. |
