SVC

Does anyone know if SVC is 911 location assistance? My grandpa still drives but my mom and I would rather he get a cell phone that has this feature.

I’m glad this is...

I’m glad this is getting so much attention. A cell phone would be very handy and not to mention helpful for a lot of elderly people or friends and relatives who have someone old close to them. I think a big portion of our population who’s in ther 60s or older, are afraid of the technology and that it’s to advanced for them. Sometimes we need to take a step back, like SVC or Jitterbug, and offer simple cell phone with simple features. I got the t155G from tracfone for my granddad after doing some convincing :)

scv phone

I would like to know how many minutes you get and why the 7.00a month if you have to pay 14.99 for the phone.

svc

You have to stay connected to a service - no service is free. The Tracfone SVC fone is by far the cheaper one costing $20 for 90 days and 60minutes which works out to less than $7 a month. You are not going to find anything cheaper

It's a Matter Of Choice...

As always, you should do your homework before you decide which is best. What may seem like a great deal ends up costing more than you planned. Some things you need to know is if there is an activation fee, what the phone costs, and what the per minute charge is. That's what is so attractive about the senior value cellphone. It's cheap, no activation fee, and uses the regular tracfone airtime cards. This means low cost calls locally, nationally, and internationally, as well as, low cost text messaging.

Jitterbug has nice design.

I think the jitterbug has a very nice design, but I ended getting my mom the samsung from tracfone just cause it seemed to have all the things she needed and it was only 7 dollars a month. In the final analysis, I think I made the right decision.

SVC phone

the SVC phone looks great. the numbers are so nice and big for seniors and so simple to use. a phone for under $20 is really unbelieveable and it is so nice to know that there is this option out there. having a cell phone really has become an essential and some providers really take advantage of that. but not tracfone with this SVC phone - thanks tracfone

cell phone for seniors

amazing how many people are with tracfone. well i am too, and i got my grandparents onto the senior value plan from tracfone aswell. it really is the best deal and great value for money. all's been said, the 911 emergency location assist, the easy to use phon and for me also very important the reliable nationwide network coverage. great phone and plan for seniors.

When I wanted to...

When I wanted to get my Mom a cell phone I looked at them all and went with the Senior Value from Tracfone! It wasn't the price ($14.99) or the large buttons and big text that made me decide it was the fact that her phone would be linked 911 emergency location assist so no matter where she is she can be found! The SVC was the cheapest and nicest phone but the peace of mind the 911 support gives me and Mom is priceless!

Tracfone Senior Value Cellphone

If I was a pensioner I would buy the cheapest phone to use considering I would be battling to make ends meet and paying scary medical bills, so I would choose Tracfone SVC, Samsung T155G. I'd rather have a cheaper phone and plan and my kids can rather phone me more.

Tracphone is great!

I got my gran a tracphone senior value T155 samsung. It is a seriously good deal. She doesn't need to make a lot of calls but now we can all get hold of her. Plus I think it's really a good idea to get contract free phones these days. I am so over all these bills and extra charges that creep up on you. So I am a big fan of Tracphone's prepaid plans! :) Thanks guys

Just5 is a wise choice

My Dad is using the Just5 phone and it’s really fantastic. He loves its very easy-to-use features and its very practical rates. With this provider, he can only spend as low as $3.33 a month when he gets the cheapest minute plan. The phone is perfectly reliable, too, as it has already served as a tool to save his life when he suffered from severe asthma attack before. I really recommend the use of this phone!

The Tracfone Senior Value...

The Tracfone Senior Value Cellphone is so much cheaper than the other phones that I wonder why anyone would buy anything else. As far as I know, Tracfone are an excellent company. Can someone tell me why I should pay more for any of these other phones.

SVC phone

I totally agree. At under $20 the SVC phone is an absolute steal. $7 a month is amazing as well and totally manageable for seniors who really don't need to be paying an arm and aleg for a cell phone contract that they don't need even half of each month...
