Verizon Wireless offered a great mobile phone line-up in 2009 with high-end devices like the Motorola DROID, and BlackBerry Tour. The carrier started the year strong by releasing the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus. However, Verizon has a lot more mobile phone surprises under its sleeve. Let's look at the remaining upcoming Verizon Wireless phones for 2010.
Motorola Devour: Verizon's latest Android smartphone.is set to arrive this March. The Devour comes with a 3.1-inch, 320 x 480 pixel touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. It will run on Android 1.6 with the MOTOBLUR social networking software. Other known features include a 3 megapixel fixed-focus camera, optical track pad, accelerometer, aGPS, Bluetooth (with A2DP), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and microSD support for cards up to 32GB (8GB pre-installed).
Apple iPhone:Circulating rumors suggest that AT&T will lose its exclusive rights to the iPhone with Verizon and other carriers as the beneficiary. T-Mobile is rumored to be able to start selling the iPhone in spring. It might even be this year's version which is expected to offer an AMOLED touchscreen display, touch-sensitive case, video calling, and a 5MP autofocus camera.
Blackberry Tour 2 (Essex 9650): This upcoming smartphone is expected to be similar to the Tour but will include added features such as WiFi and a trackpad. The Tour 2 Essex is also expected to offer memory and processor improvements. This smartphone is rumored to be hit the stares on mid-March to early April.
HTC Nexus One (CDMA ): The HTC Nexus One is already available with T-Mobile but Google has promised that a CDMA version will be available in Spring. This Android phone for 2010 is expected to offer similar features including a 3.70 inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, Android 2.1 OS, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microSD/microSDHC card slot.
ZTE F350: This device is rumored to be the first ZTE phone for Verizon. The F350 features a Bluetooth, voice command and a photo camera. There is not a lot of info on this handset and it's still unknown if it will sport a touchscreen or a non touchscreen slider design.
LG Accolade: The simple LG Accolade VX5600 offers low end features like a 1.3-megapixel camera, speakerphone and Bluetooth.
