UPCOMING VIRGIN MOBILE PHONES: HTC WILDFIRE S AND LG OPTIMUS SLIDER

Virgin Mobile plans to strengthen its smartphone line-up by adding a couple of Android phones. These new smartphones will be available at the carrier's stores next month. Consumers can also purchase the LG Optimus Slider and HTC Wildfire S at other retail outlets including Sprint stores, Best Buy and Radio Shack locations.

Here are the details for these upcoming Virgin Mobile smartphones.

LG Optimus Slider: This handset will be available on October 17 from Virgin Mobile's web site for $199.99. This handset is a rebranded version of the LG Enlighten. It sports a side slider design with a 3.2-inch touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. The main features for this phone also include Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 600MHz processor, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 3G support,and a 5-megapixel camera with flash.

HTC Wildfire S: This smartphone features a 3.2-inch touch screen, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 600MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera. This upcoming Virgin Mobile cell phone will be available on October 23 for $199.99.
