US CELLULAR TO LAUNCH HTC DESIRE AND OTHER ANDROID SMARTPHONES

US Cellular consumers will get their share of Android handsets later this year. The regional carrier has confirmed via its official Facebook account that it will launch the HTC Desire later this summer after "rigorous testing is complete". US Cellular also hinted at the arrival of other Android-powered handsets. The HTC Desire is a high-end Android smartphone that features a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP autofocus camera, and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. US Cellular did not offer a lot of info for this upcoming Android smartphone for 2010 but more details are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
