VERIZON PALM PRE CANCELLED?

Here's an unfortunate rumor for Verizon subscribers who were hoping to purchase the Palm Pre in early 2010. According to the folks at the Street, the first webOS device "had been scheduled to arrive at Verizon in January. But people close to the discussions say Verizon has decided not to support the Pre.”

Prior rumors suggested that Verizon Wireless is planning to launch the Palm Pre as soon as the handset's exclusive deal with Sprint ends. Fortunately, this Verizon Palm Pre rumor is still unofficial so there is still hope for Big Red subscribers. The first webOS device is also expected to be offered by AT&T next year.
