Verizon Wireless has bolstered its claim of being the "most reliable" wireless network by gaining the top spot in the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Wireless Call Quality Performance Study. The carrier obtained significantly higher scores above the industry average in five out of six US regions (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Southwest, and West regions). US Cellular was awarded the top spot in the North Central region. Verizon Wireless also took the number one spot in last year's wireless call quality performance rankings. The J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Wireless Call Quality Performance Study was conducted between July and December 2009. More than 24,300 wireless subscribers were surveyed about factors that affect their call quality experience including dropped calls, static/interference, echoes, no immediate voice mail notification, and voice distortion. Verizon Wireless also took the second spot in J.D. Power and Associates' “2010 Wireless Retail Sales Satisfaction Study – Volume 1. T-Mobile was awarded the number one ranking in a very close contest. [Via: Phone Arena and Cell Phone Digest] |
