We suspected that Verizon will finally reveal the Droid today but one has to admit that it's a bit anticlimactic as the Motorola website has already revealed the specs for this exciting device.

The Motorola Droid will hit the stores on November 6th for $199 on contract (after a $100 mail-in rebate). The official introduction included the specs and features of Verizon's first Android device. The Motorola Droid will feature a sideways slider design with with 3.7-inch WVGA touch display (480 x 854 pixels), 5 megapixel camera (with dual-LED flash) and full QWERTY keyboard. Other key features include EVDO Rev. A, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR , WiFi, voice-activated search and over-the-air Amazon MP3 downloads.

This upcoming Verizon Wireless phone will also come with a 16GB microSD card in the box and runs on a powerful Cortex A8 processor. It will run on the Android 2.0 version, which provides an integrated email inbox with support for multiple Gmail and Exchange accounts as wellas a beta version of the Google Maps Navigation. Unfortunately, it does not come with the exciting MOTOBLUR user interface and will feature the stock UI for Android devices with no customization

It was also announced that the upcoming Android smartphones for Verizon Wireless will be released under the "Droid" branding.
