The battle for the best devices on the LTE vs WiMAX rivalry is starting to look exciting. After Sprint revealed the HTC EVO 4G release date, the folks at Verizon spread the word about their plans to launch three to five Long Term Evolution phones by May 2011. " alt="" /> The announcement of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G release date may have encouraged Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam to reveal some information on the carrier's plans for launching Long Term Evolution devices. McAdam revealed that Verizon Wireless intends to launch three to five Long Term Evolution phones by May 2011. The Verizon CEO also stated that Motorola, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics would supply LTE-based tablet devices by the end of 2010. The arrival of these devices is expected to make the LTE VS WiMAX rivalry more exciting.
