VERIZON WIRELESS TO RELEASE THE HTC DROID ERIS FOR $99

A few days ago, we got a glimpse of another Android-powered smartphone for Verizon Wireless called the Desire. Apparently, it has been renamed as the HTC Droid Eris and is expected to be released on Nov. 6 together with the Motorola Droid. The HTC Droid Eris for Verizon is rumored to be an affordable smartphone and will be sold at $99 with a contract. The folks at Engadget has also revealed that units of this upcoming Verizon Wireless phone are already sitting in warehouses just waiting to ship out. The carrier has not yet announced or acknowledged the existence of this device.
