AT&T announced its plan to sell 5 handsets running on Google's Android platform in the first half of 2010 at the recently concluded Consumers Electronics Show. The folks at Engadget has obtained a render of an unannounced Motorola phone that might be one of AT&T's upcoming Android smartphones. The Motorola MOTOSPLIT is alleged to be a Snapdragon-powered Android smartphone that features a unique design. |
VERIZON TO SELL PALM PRE PLUS FOR $150 AND PIXI PLUS FOR $100

Verizon has revealed the prices for its upcoming webOS smartphones which will hit the stores on Monday, January 25. The highly anticipated Palm Pre Plus will be sold for 150 after $100 mail-in rebate while the Pixi Plus will cost $100 after $100 mail-in rebate. Requirements for these Verizon webOS smartphones include a voice plan (minimum $40/month) and a $30 unlimited data plan. |

The Motorola Backflip Android smartphone is arguably the star mobile phone of the recently concluded CES 2010. However, the carrier and release date for this upcoming Android-smartphone were not included in the official announcement at CES. Rumors indicate that the Motorola Backflip is headed for AT&T and the folks at Phandroid have been tipped that the device will be released on March 17. |
