APPLE TO ALLOW OVER-THE-AIR PODCAST DOWNLOADS?

More info has leaked out about the pending iPhone 2.2 firmware update and what new features it will be bringing to the table.

Google Street View and a slightly revamped Safari browser were already known to be coming, but it looks like something for the podcast-obsessed amongst us will be arriving as well: OTA downloads.

The good news is that this will work with both video and audio podcasts, but if you're not connected to a Wifi network you'll be limited to downloads 10MB or less in size, which seems pretty fair.

Still no word on when the 2.2 firmware update is set to land but we can only hope it's soon.
