Archos will be coming out with what appears to be the first US Android-based product that is not a mobile phone this September (the pictured device is a Windows 7-based table to be released in October). More info after the jump. According to The Inquirer, Archos revealed that the as-of-yet unofficially announced device will be an internet tablet running the Android OS with several custom applications built by Archos itself. For the moment, the Android device will have a 5-inch screen, while the upcoming Windows 7-based 9 series PCTablet will be released in October with a 9-inch screen. Also, Archos revealed that their product slate for the future includes devices that utilize telephony in some way, but not to expect them to be mobile phones...We'll see soon enough.
