Some analyst say that Apple would benefit greatly if the iPhone will be offered by multiple carriers and this scenario is likely to happen in the future. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson admitted that the company's exclusive rights to sell the iPhone in the US will eventually end. Stephenson stated at Fortune's now happening Brainstorm: Tech conference that, "there will be a day when you are not exclusive with the iPhone." However, Stephenson's statement does not mean that the iPhone would be available from other US carriers in the near future. AT&T will continue do its best to retain the rights to be the sole distributor of the iPhone.
