AT&T CEO: APPLE IPHONE WON'T BE EXCLUSIVE FOREVER

Some analyst say that Apple would benefit greatly if the iPhone will be offered by multiple carriers and this scenario is likely to happen in the future. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson admitted that the company's exclusive rights to sell the iPhone in the US will eventually end. Stephenson stated at Fortune's now happening Brainstorm: Tech conference that, "there will be a day when you are not exclusive with the iPhone."

However, Stephenson's statement does not mean that the iPhone would be available from other US carriers in the near future. AT&T will continue do its best to retain the rights to be the sole distributor of the iPhone.
