BYE BYE ANALOG

The FCC is allowing ATT and Verizon to shut down their analog cell networks today. While most cell phone customers have long ago made the transition to digital (Sprint and T-Mobile don’t even have analog networks), there remain small subset of users who still have legacy analog phones. Remember those Motorola behemoths from the 80s? Interestingly, cell phone users are not the only constituency affected. Many house alarm security systems continue to be tethered to an analog network. |
