CARD-COUNTING IPHONE APPLICATION HELPS GAMBLERS CHEAT IN BLACKJACK

Nevada gaming officials have issued a warning to Las Vegas casinos about a card-counting application for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch devices.  Customers in a Northern California Indian casino were caught using the program to beat the odds in blackjack.

To use the program players tap a button on the screen for cards above ten and tap a different button for lower card values.  The card-counting program has a stealth mode where the iPhone's screen will appear in the 'off' mode.  Players can review the applications feedback by tapping a differnt button to view when their cards will return a value closest to 21.

Card-counting has yet to be against the law in the state of Neveda, but using electronic devices to aid in card-counting is.

Use caution when on your iPhone at the Blackjack table, afterall no one wants to be accused of cheating when they're just saying goodnight to their mother.
