CUT AND PASTE THIS!
Submitted by GDYLAN COOPER on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 12:12.Bookmark/Search this post with: So kids, guess phone the iphone came out with another updatelast week and....yes...wait for it...again no cut, copy and paste/select all etc. feature, this is becoming absolutely inexcuseable on apple's part, but at some point AT&T should pressure them as well. It is a basically worth a class action lawsuit shortly. What one may think is a very simple omission affects my efficiency with my work many times daily. If Steve Jobs cannot figure out this technology that every other smart phone developer has discovered, maybe he should just resign. No one at apple has ever given a good reason for this neglet to add such a feature, but there is no explanation that will be suitable at this point. I will say this again, I want to like the iphone. It has grown on me in a multitude of ways and the third party apps (of course third party since apple has somehow lost a step it seems) add tremendous functioning and fun to the phone, however the Blackberry bold is superior at the moment and the Blackberry storm (if you have Verizon) is a work of art...even the instinct I think has cut and paste...anyway had to rant. This site is perfect because people need to not make hasty decisions on phones in stores or when their next one breaks. Educate yourself now. Compare contrast function and price. Don't make the same mistakes I made. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. GDC

no cut and paste on android
I have had a similar frustration trying to find the cut and paste on Android - its amazing how much you rely on it.
Actually, thinking back to the typewriter days (yeah, im old) the selling point of a word processing application was to be able to cut and paste!!! Why dont we think we want to do this on our hand held devices?
Agreed!
It is inexcusable that cut and past is still missing on the Apple iPhone after multiple software upgrades.
