FCC APPROVES CDMA BLACKBERRY PEARL 8230 FLIP

FCC documents have confirmed that a CDMA version of the BlackBerry Pearl 8230 Flip may soon be headed for a US carrier (probably Verizon Wireless). The documents show a BlackBerry clamshell device equipped with CDMA and EV-DO radios for the 850 and 1900MHz bands. The CDMA version of the BlackBerry Pearl 8230 Flip is expected to offer a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, SureType keypad, radio and Bluetooth 2.0. Canada's Bell carrier is already offering a CDMA version of the BlackBerry Pearl 8230 Flip for $30C with a three-year contract.
