GARMIN NUVIPHONE NOW SET FOR Q3 RELEASE

You've heard us talk about the release of the Nuviphone G60 over a year ago.  Now Cliff Pemble president and COO of Garmin has expressed their difficulties in building a smartphone from the ground up: "Smartphones are complicated and bringing one to the market that's built totally from the ground up on a custon Linux platform is not an easy task."  Now the GPS phone is slated for a Q3 release, which pushes the release back about a year.  Obviously when you specialize in one area of expertise, jumping into a new arena won't be that easy; just peruse all the failed iPhone competitors (we won't mention any names). Good luck Garmin, hopefully there won't be any more setbacks.
