A mobile version of the Google Voice service is now available. Google Voice, formerly known as Grand Central, allows users to set up telephony services and make phone calls through the Internet. Dedicated Google Voice applications for the BlackBerry and Android platforms are now being offered. Android and BlackBerry users can make and receive calls from their Google Voice number with help from the Google Voice mobile application. They can also send and receive text messages, check voicemail and see message transcriptions. Google and Apple is still working on a version for the iPhone. The Google Voice application is for free, but some calling services may cost money. Source: Phone Scoop |
