Google's Android platform isn't making a lot of waves at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, except for the official introduction of the HTC Magic. The Android-powered HTC Magic was announced at the Vodafone press conference. However, this Android device has long been known as the G2 and its form factor and main features have already been revealed by a few leaks. The HTC Magic Android Smartphone features a 3.2-inch QVGA capacitive touch display and a trackball for navigation. Unlike the T-Mobile G1, the HTC Magic does not have a physical keyboard to preserve its sleek design. Other features for the HTC Magic Android Smartphone include a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS with compass for pedestrian navigation, Wi-Fi and a bunch of Google services such as Google Mail, Google Talk, Google Maps, and YouTube. The HTC Magic Android Smartphone will hit Vodafone stores in Europe in the spring. Since Vodafone owns 45% of Verizon Wireless, there's a chance that it will be Verizon's first Android device.
