Nokia decided to make the N86 official at the GSMA Mobile World Congress after the multimedia Smartphone has already been leaked to the global handset audience. The Nokia N86 was inadvertently showcased at an event in Singapore before its scheduled GSMA Mobile World Congress launch. Observers were also able to discover Nokia N86 before its official announcement due to an image that was mistakenly included in a Nokia press document. The upcoming Nokia N86 features an impressive 8 megapixel camera with wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens. This high-end camera phone offers a shutter speed of up to 1/1000 of a second, video recording at 30 frames per second, dual LED flash and image stabilization. The Nokia N86 sports a dual slider design with a 2.6 inch AMOLED QVGA display covered with a hardened scratch-resistant glass surface. This new Nokia N series Smartphone runs on a S60 3rd Edition FP2 OS and offers up to 8 GB of internal storage. The key features for the Nokia N86 include Quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, Wi-Fi, aGPS with Nokia Maps 3.0 and Bluetooth. A tri-band HSDPA variant for the North American market is expected to be released this year.
