HOW TO FORMAT NOKIA SYMBIAN SERIES 60

If you are having some issues with your Nokia Symbian Series 60 Phones, formatting it could solve your problem.  The concept of formatting in Nokia Symbian Series 60 is bringing your system back to its manufacturing date.  It’s just going to overwrite the current state of your phone.  Rocket science?  No, because you can do it in six easy steps.

Things You’ll Need

·         Nokia Symbian Series 60

Instructions

Step One:  You should check if the battery life of your phone is on the maximum level.  If not, better to charge it first before doing the formatting.

Step Two: Since some of the files such as your contacts and messages are saved on the phone, you may back up those files in your memory card.

Step Three: Now you need to turn off your Nokia S60.

Step Four:  Then press and hold the star or asterisk key, number three (3) key and the green dial key together.

Step Five:  Turn on the phone while continue holding on the three keys until the display will show the word “formatting.”  This means that your phone is being formatted.

Step Six:  It would take some time to finish the formatting.  Once done, your phone is going to be on its factory setting.

Tips & Warnings

·         The indication that it is time to format your Nokia S60 is when you noticed that your phone has been very slow and you have been bombarded with error messages.

·         You need to check your licences in the memory card before formatting.

·         You can format your phone by yourself instead of bringing it to a shop.  This will save you money.

·         Ensure that your memory card is not password protected because if it is, formatting may cause you to lose permission to access the files in the memory card.
