We are seeing more Android handsets this year and it appears that the trend will continue in 2010. According to the folks at Digitimes, HTC is planning to shift half of its handsets to Google's Android OS next year. HTC is reportedly devoting 30 percent of total devices to the Google Android platform in 2009. HTC is also rumored to release a high-profile 3G handset in September or October of this year. This HTC handset will be based on Qualcomm’s BREW platform and will feature a touchscreen and TouchFlo 3D / Sense UI This news would be be a bad blow to the Windows Mobile platform since HTC is known as a top manufacturer of WinMo phones.
