The HTC S522 appears to be one step closer to being announced by T-Mobile as the FCC has approved the device. The FCC documents indicate that the HTC S522 will offer support for AWS 1700MHz bands (T-Mobile’s 3G frequency). Does the HTC S522 look familiar? Yes, because this was one of the HTC phones featured at CTIA Wireless 2009. It was then known as HTC Maple or Snap. There is no official announcement regarding the release date of the HTC S522, but it is expected to be released by July 1.
