INQ ANNOUNCES CHAT 3G AND MINI 3G

Cellphone manufacturer INQ (whose INQ1 won the Best Handset Award this February at the MWC), has just unveiled not one but two new mobile devices that will have a strong focus on social networking. The new phones, named the INQ Chat 3G and the ING Mini 3G, have 3G data connectivity with tightly integrated networking features such as Twitter, Facebook, Skype, GMail, and media sync capabilities. Not only will these phones let you stay on top of Facebook feeds and Myspace Bulletins, but INQ also worked with the Twitter development team to give the phones a Twitter application that lets users update to the famous microblogging site without using SMS.

The INQ Chat 3G ( which is styled very similarly to the Blackberry and is a wonderful alternative), features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and on-board GPS. It also features a full-QWERTY keyboard for use with the wide variety of available social networking apps, as mentioned above. The INQ Mini 3G includes a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2 megapixel camera, and a standard T9 alphanumeric keypad. Both the Chat 3G and the Mini 3G work as plug-and-play HSDPA modems for tethering to PCs and Macs. The phones also include media features that let users sync music from iTunes and Windows Media Player with the devices.

The 3G is styled quite nicely, and is almost indistinguishable from the infamous Blackberry. Both the Chat 3G and the Mini 3G are customizable: users can personalize their Chat 3G or Mini 3G by attaching one of seven coloured backs to the phone, to make it look like their own. Only downside of these phones is that they hardly have any onboard storage, empty microSD, and no place for headphones. Other than that, these phones look like great ones to own.

Both the INQ Chat 3G and Mini 3G will be available in the forth quarter of 2009.
