IPHONE 3G S LAUNCH DETAILS

The iPhone 3G S will be available to the masses tomorrow, June 19th. To facilitate the iPhone 3G S buying process, Apple and AT&T has released the launch details to help those who are lining up to get their hands on the hit device.

Here's a summary of the iPhone 3GS launch details:

• The iPhone 3G S will be available tomorrow morning from all 2,200 company-owned AT&T retail locations and all 211 US Apple retail stores. AT&T stores will be opening at 7AM to fulfill in-store pre-orders for the iPhone 3G S.
• Customers who did not pre-order will be able to purchase the new iPhone at the regular retail opening on a first come, first served basis.
• Shipments for online pre-orders will be delivered starting tomorrow. Customers should be sure to check the e-mail notification they received for their actual arrival date as some preorders will arrive after June 19; dates are based on when preorders were made and available inventory.
• The iPhone 3G S will be available for $199 (16GB) and $299 (32GB) for all new AT&T customers and existing AT&T customers who have fulfilled their contract. This pricing applies to iPhone 3G customers who will be eligible for a full upgrade in July, August, or September 2009..
• All other iPhone 3G owners who have not yet fulfilled their existing agreement can upgrade early to the iPhone 3G S for $399 (16GB) and $499 (32GB). Full retail purchases without a two year contract are also available.
• AT&T stores will sell one iPhone 3G S per person for new customers; existing customers may purchase one per eligible telephone number. Online shoppers may purchase one device per household.

• New AT&T customers who wish to port or retain their phone number from another wireless carrier should consider bringing a copy of a bill from their current service provider. Customers will be asked to provide account information as it appears on record with their current provider, including:Account number, Name of the account holder, Account holder's Social Security Number or Tax ID, Billing address and PIN or password (if applicable)
