Developers are jumping for joy as the release of iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 has just been released. Developers have been given the OK to begin developing applications with push notifications, among other features such as new homescreen, MMS, copy paste. Sounds like the release is set for sometime in the summer. The new homescreen will allow for the new universal search feature that crawls through your email, calendar, and notes. Copy and paste functions through the use of double tapping a word to highlight, thereafter a dialog box will appear where users can cut, copy, or paste. A tap and hold will highlight and entire paragraph, and if a paste is done on accident the accelerometer gets more exercise (or should I say your wrist) with a simple shake to undo. For now developers have the joy of the new features, but sit tight as the new OS will soon be released to the general public.
