Here's an important notice for Jitterbug phone users. Samsung has issued a voluntary recall for the Jitterbug phone (models SPH-a110 and SPH-a120) due to problems with connecting to 911 emergency services. Apparently, Jitterbug phones sold after March 1, 2008 maybe unable to connect to 911 emergency services in areas where the company doesn't have MVNO or roaming agreements in place. Jitterbug phone owners may visit customer service centers to have the phone's system software updated or send the phone directly to Samsung, which will upgrade the phone and return it within about a week. Just a note that this recall applies to the older Jitterbug Dial & OneTouch and not the new Jitterbug J phone.
