LG ANNOUNCES GW550 SMARTPHONE

To satisfy its business clientele, South Korean mobile phone maker LG has unwrapped the GW550 Smartphone, a candy bar phone complete with a front facing QWERTY keyboard, similar to the Nokia E71X. The GW550 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 standard,and has a non-touch 2.4-inch display with QVGA resoltuion, 3-megapixel camera, stereo speakers, HDSPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity and a 1300Ah battery. In addition, the phone is equipped with a quad0band GSM (850/900/1900MHz), tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz), 3G connectivity with HSPA support for high-speed data. LG announced the GW550 at the ComunicAsia 2009 expo in Singapore, where they also released the LG GT500 and the LG GW520
