The LG Xenon is one of the latest Smartphones manufactured by LG. This new AT&T Smartphone was released this past April after much anticipation. Let us look into the finer aspects of this new Smartphone and find out whether the LG Xenon mobile is actually a great handset to own or simply just hype. The Xenon, also known as the LG Zenon, sports a slider design which offers you a great display. This touch-sensitive 2.8-inch display offers, vibration feedback, a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and support over 65K colors. The dimensions of the mobile are 105.5 x 53.5 x 15.8 mm and weighs only about 108 grams with the battery in it. AT&T's LG Xenon also comes with a full QWERTY keyboard (which is fast becoming the standard these days) and offers a range of features. The keys are a bit small but should not cause any major text entry problems. This handset also provides a great built-in MP3 player and supports expandable memory up to16 GB. The LG Xenon or LG Zenon offers 3.6 Mbps HSDPA data and other wireless options including GPS, GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth. The battery life is good but does need recharging more often than many other LG handset models. The talk time of the LG Xenon lasts for 4 hours and the standby time is 264 hours. Additional features include threaded text messaging, instant messaging, high speed surfing, mobile e-mail and quad-band GSM. Now let's tackle the disadvantages that comes with the LG Xenon. As mentioned before, the battery life could have had been better. The touchscreen also seems to be a little under-developed as it reflects too much. It is also disappointing that the headset and the data cable must be purchased separately. Moreover, the lack of dictionary and Wi-Fi in this mobile reduces the overall value of the handset. Still, it is safe to brand this mobile as a good Smartphone made by LG. The LG Xenon for AT&T has room for improvement but remains useful – especially for multimedia lovers. This mobile phone is built ideally for the next generation and the LG Xenon has the potential to remain popular for years to come. |
