MAJORITY OF EXISTING VERIZON SMARTPHONES NOW AT $99

It seems that it's a good time to purchase a smartphone from Verizon Wireless. According to the folks at BGR, the prices of almost all existing Verizon smartphones have been dropped to only $99 with a two-year agreement. Only the BlackBerry Tour and Samsung Saga from the Verizon smartphone line up are offered above $99. This significant price drop may indicate that the carrier is planning to release new smartphones in the near future. The HTC Touch Pro 2 and the BlackBerry Storm 2 are expected to land in the following months. It may also be a reaction to AT&T's $99 iPhone pricing.
