MICROSOFT SET TO UNVEIL NEW "CLOUD" SYNCING SERVICE
Submitted by Noe on Mon, 01/19/2009 - 12:16.Bookmark/Search this post with: ![]() Microsoft is set to announce some pretty new stuff (if true) at the Mobile World Congress next month. First up is a service dubbed "Skybox" which allows for syncing of information from your phone to the web. It's very much like Apple's MobileMe, but clearly differentiates itself in that it will likely be offered to devices not running windows mobile. Automatic syncing with all of your contacts, messages, calendar, etc. over the internet; it's the future, you know. Next, Microsoft finally plans to tackle the mobile application market with the release of "SkyMarket" their own application store. About time. Finally, it looks like the shots that leaked out months ago of the purported new WM GUI seems to be legit, or at least, they're actual concept shots. What we end up seeing next month could be close or way off. |
