THE NEW SNAP SMARTPHONE TO REPLACE THE HTC DASH

HTC has introduced another new Windows Mobile Smartphone in this year's CTIA, Las Vegas. The newly introduced Snap Windows Mobile Smartphone has been designated as the replacement of the HTC Dash. The HTC Snap features a bar-style form factor with a full, physical QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch, 320x240 display and Windows mobile 6.1 OS.

In terms of design, the Snap is similar to the HTC Dash. However, the HTC Snap has a track ball for navigation in place of the D-Pad on the Dash. The new Snap Samrtphone also offers a special Inner Circle button, which is absent from the HTC Dash. The dedicated button is connected to a new email filtering program that allows users to assign several close contacts to their "Inner Circle".

Here's a short list of the key features and specs of the new HTC Snap:

  • tri-band GSM/EDGE
  • HSPA 850/1900MHz.
  • 2 megapixel camera with video capture
  • Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
  • GPS
  • Wi-Fi
  • microSDHC card support

The exact price and release date of the HTC Snap is still unavailable.
