Submitted by Matt on Wed, 07/30/2008 - 10:22.Bookmark/Search this post with: According to the mobile phone spies at Boy Genius Report, T-Mobile has announced this year's version of the Sidekick. Customers can purchase it online and in select stores for $150 with a new service agreement. The newest T-Mobile Sidekick model retains the familiar, swivel-out screen, controls and track ball found on previous models. However, it has a smaller footprint than previous Sidekicks. The new Sidekick's interchangeable shells are considered to be it's most appealing feature. T-Mobile customers can personalize their Sidekick by using the company's web site to design their own custom shells ($15) or select one from pre-designed shells. This new T-Mobile handset offers a 2.6-inch WQVGA display, quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, 2 megapixels with video capture, a microSD card slot for additional media, and Bluetooth 2.0 with support for stereo Bluetooth playback. The T-Mobile Sidekick 2008 can access T-Mobile's MyFaves calling plan, multiple email and IM accounts.
