Verizon (or more accurately, their CEO) is hyping up the next six months of his network. Find out more after the jump. CEO Lowell McAdam spent a webcast talking up how awesome Verizon will be over the next six months, with various high profile phone releases preparing to take shape. He mentions that not only will Verizon put out the Blackberry Storm 2 and Tour (as expected), but that they will also be able to sell the Palm Pre, having disclosed that the previously mysterious exclusivity deal with Sprint was only for six months. Also hidden within the webcast was this gem about another phone manufacturer who has fallen from grace: He continued, “You'll see Motorola back into our portfolio. We feel very good about the progress that the Motorola team has made. And, yes, you're going to see Android devices as well.” Could this mean that Verizon will get the fabled Motorola Alexander? And will that phone now be running Android? We'll soon see. Click here to read about Verizon's 3G/4G plans, and to see more quotes from the webcast |
