OVER 1 MILLION IPHONE 3G S SOLD DURING LAUNCH WEEKEND

Apple has proven once again that it remains at the top of the Smartphone food chain. The company has revealed that over one million iPhone 3G S models have been sold through Sunday, June 21. Selling over one million iPhone 3G S models just after three days after launch is indeed impressive.

It was also announced that over six million customers have downloaded the new iPhone 3.0 software in the first five days since its release.

Steve Jobs also released a statement concerning the success of the new iPhone 3G S and the new 3.0 software:

Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning. With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.
