PALM PRE AND WEBOS UPDATE PROCESS

Palm Pre's and other webOS devices are updated over the air. These updates can only be downloaded on an EVDO connection or through a Wi-Fi network.  Updates are automatically installed unless your battery is below 30%.  Palm tells Pre users to never remove their battery while their device is updating otherwise you may permanently damage your phone. The Pre checks for updates every seven days, and are only downloaded when a user in not using their data connection.  You can check for updates on your webOS device anytime by opening updates.  When an update is being installed you may not use your device, and an installation usually takes about 10min.  Happy updating.
