Very few non-smartphones from Verizon Wireless are capable of operating overseas on GSM networks. However, it appears that Big Red will release a non-smartphone world phone on August 21. The Pantech Escapade world phone is a simple flip phone but it can operate overseas on GSM networks. This upcoming Verizon Wireless phone sports a 2 megapixel camera that will be useful for capturing memorable moments while on overseas trips.
