PUSH GMAIL APP CALLED GPUSH TO BE ACCEPTED FOR IPHONE?

It already has push email through MobileMe, Yahoo Mail or Exchange, so where is the push app for Gmail? Well, it seems that one is on its way, and its called GPush. GPush is a very simple app that uses the new Push Notifications in the iPhone 3.0 software to ping your iPhone every time a new message comes in. To get this app going, you load it, enter your Gmail username and password, and if you so chose, you never have to open the actuay app ever again. The GPush app essentially works by using IMAP IDLE functionality which Gmail supports. This is the same way that push Gmail works on devices like the palm pre and Android phones. One great thing about GPush is that it does not require the use of battery life, because it’s doing all the work in the background, on Tiverias' (the company who created the app) servers. You will still have to open the iPhone’s email app to read the email beyond the subject, but with GPush you will know when there is actually email there to read. It is still not 100% yet wether or not Apple will approve this app, but if they do, it will cost $0.99
