It appears that we will soon see Google Android handsets that are not manufactured by HTC. According to the folks at Android Arena, Samsung may launch three handsets running on the Google Android platform this year. Samsung might release it's first Google Android-powered handset on the European market as early as this June. Recent rumors suggested that a phone named the S8000 Cubic will be the first Samsung Android handset but that has remained unconfirmed. The other two Samsung Android handsets are expected to be introduced before the end of 2009. Samsung has been unveiling high-end touchscreen phones with powerful cameras this year, so these upcoming Google Android handsets might be sporting 5 to 8 MP cameras and large touch-sensitive displays. Recent rumors also suggest that these Samsung Google Android handsets will make its way to the North American market via T-Mobile and Sprint. [Via: SlashGear] |
